Spiritual Alchemy Tip #4:  Law of Polarity -- "Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same, opposites are identical in nature but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." -- The Kybalion

Everything is on a continuum & has an opposite. We can transmute undesirable thoughts and emotional states by concentrating on the opposite pole. This is mental transmutation; the law of mental vibration. You cannot have love without hate, success without failure, good without bad,....so on and so forth. The world we live in is one of duality. How would you ever know love, peace and goodness if you never knew or experienced hate, chaos and bad energy?

Even though everything has its opposite, there is no one point where you can say one extreme starts and the other ends. This is because its a scale range & it's subjective from person to person. There are only varying degrees of difference between the two extremes. Example: where does cold stop & heat begin? where does good turn into bad? Both of these questions are highly subjective depending on the persons and situations involved. And get this, technically, there is no right or wrong answer. It's all perception & perceptions inevitably change as life does.

The law of polarity teaches that every experience that you perceive as a problem, has the potential for a solution within it. By focusing your thoughts/energy on the solution, you are able to transmute the problem into a win. Focusing predominantly on solutions allows you to attract energies with vibration frequencies that are in resonance-- aka harmony-- with those solution oriented thoughts.

"Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit." --Napoleon Hill, Author of 'Think and Grow Rich'

I consider the following quote to be the verbal equivalent of the yin-yang symbol and an example of polarity;

 "Everything can be separated into two wholly separate parts & that each of those still contains the potentiality of the other." - Unknown

 Understanding the law of polarity empowers you to change your own polarity, if you take the necessary time and effort to do so. Your world, your perception, your energy...is just that... YOURS. Do with it what you will.
