Spiritual Alchemy Tip#6: Law of Cause and Effect(Karma)--"Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law."- The Kybalion
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."- Isaac Newton, 3rd Law of Motion
"You reap what you sow."- An old proverb

Nothing ever "merely happens", because there is no such thing as chance. Every cause has an effect and every effect becomes the cause of something else; this domino effect is infinite. The universe is always in motion & progressed from a chain of events. Every cause/effect throughout history has brought us to where we currently are, in this time/space dimension; as a country, as a world and as a universe. Hence, your today is the culmination & effect of the causes of your yesterdays. Likewise, your tomorrow is the effect of the causes of today.
Karma means 'action, deed, or work'; and it is also the 'intent' behind the action taken. In various religions, karma permeates throughout lifetimes, via reincarnation. Momentarily, continuing with this wave of thought; the (cause) karma you plant & accumulate energetically in this lifetime follows into (effect) your next lifetimes. Positive intentions and actions accumulate good karma, high vibratory energy and happier rebirths while negative intentions and actions bring bad karma, low vibratory energy and less pleasant rebirths in upcoming lifetimes. The karma one creates in the present affects their future in the current life as well as the nature & energetic quality of future lives. The law of karma operates autonomously; separate from any deity or divine judgement. Explaining karma can be quite the rabbit hole as it has gained multiple meanings throughout history & various spiritual paths, but the common threads that remain throughout them all are: causality, ethics and rebirth.
This law doesn't always have to be viewed from such a vast perspective in order to be utilized. For example: taking care of yourself via spiritual wellness, personal care, hygiene, fitness, health, balanced living, and so forth... These actions create good karma for yourself by providing you with more energy, a higher personal vibration, mental clarity, being able to thrive & build yourself up along with others you encounter; which then creates even more good karma for all involved. As you can see the positive karma/effects continue on in a myriad of ways; same applies vice versa, of course.
Every thought, word, and deed is a cause that sends out a wave of energy throughout your entire being & the energetic structure of the universe; thus creating the effects, whatever those may be. Every intention, action and emotion that is transmitted from a person sets into motion a chain of events. Inevitably, the same vibratory energy returns to the original source, in some way/shape/form. Once again, as stated in the previous article, the swing of the pendulum always comes back.
This law of causality, can help you into becoming who it is you need/want to be. What does your higher (or ideal) self do for a living? What did your role models do to reach the success they've attained? (Whichever ideal or person inspires you most) What kind of books do they read? What courses have they taken? Who were they inspired by? What are their main values and belief systems? What actions did they take? How do they spend their free time? How do they invest their money? What is their lifestyle like? What are they passionate about and why? These are all causes, destined to bring a certain effect into form. These questions represent their causes/actions which help to understand & learn from the effects of those actions. Use this law to your advantage by seeing the results and successes of those you aspire to be like, as a blueprint for how to achieve similar results for yourself.
We become what we consistently & repetitiously think about, what we listen to, the actions we take, what we watch, what we read, what we eat, and what/whom we surround ourselves with. This is cause & effect in its most basic expression. This is where your power truly shines because you are your own karma. When it comes down to it; you make or break yourself.
"There is no such thing as an accident. What we call by that name is the effect of some cause which we do not see." -- Voltaire 'Francois-Marie Arouet', French Philosopher & Historian
